Admission Procedure: Admission to 4 year B.Tech degree programme is only through the Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering, conducted every year at all India level in the month of April / May.

B.Sc. (Computer Science) 3 years, 6 semesters
Eligibility:
A pass in 12th standard with an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry / Computer Science and Mathematics from any State Board, CBSE or equivalent.

B.B.M. (Business Management) 3 years, 6 semesters

MCA
Eligibility: 60% marks in any degree with Mathematics/Statistics as compulsory subjects.

Admission Procedure: Based on entrance test and personal interview. Entrance test is held during May/June.


M.Tech VLSI
Eligibility:
B.Tech in any branch of engineering or AMIE with an aggregate minimum of 60% marks.

Admission Procedure: Based on personal interview. Candidates having GATE score will get direct admission. Notification is published in the newpapers in the month of March/April.


M.Sc. (Computer Science) 2 years, 4 semesters
Eligibility: A pass in B.Sc. CS / CA / IT / SE / BCA / B.Sc. in Physics / Mathematics with Computer Applications with an aggregate of not less than 60% marks.*

Admission Procedure: Notification is published in leading national news papers in the month of April / May. Apply in the prescribed application form and candidates are called for counseling on the basis of marks scored in their degree.


M.Sc. (Chemistry) 2 years, 4 semesters
Eligibility: A pass in B.Sc. with Chemistry as main and Mathematics and Physics as subsidiary subjects, with a minimum of 60% aggregate for subjects excluding English and the second language.


Master of Social Work (MSW): 2 years (4 Semesters)
Eligibility:
Graduation in any discipline with a strong aptitude for Social Work.

Admisison Procedure: Selection is on the basis of aptitude/entrance test and personal interview. Notification is published in the news papers during the month of April/May


HOW TO REACH AMRITAPURI CAMPUS

By Air: The closest airport to the campus is Thiruvananthapuram (TRIVANDRUM) International Airport. The campus is located about 200 KM away from Trivandurm airport.

By Train: Kayamkulam (12 km north of Amritapuri Campus); Station Code: KYJ - is the closest town situated towards north of School of Engineering at Amritapuri Campus. Auto-rickshaws can bring you to the campus which takes about 20 minutes from Kayamkulam town.

By Bus: From north Kerala, take right turn from “Vavvakkavu” - hardly 10 - 15 kms away from “Kayamkulam”. A green sign board showing the University campus direction can be seen on the left side of the main road. While coming from south Kerala, take a left turn from “Vavvakkavu” – hardly 10 kms away from Karunagappally town.

Class timings: 08:30 to 04:30 with 1 hour lunch break on all week days. The “main” text book(s) prescribed in the syllabus may be purchased by the student. The “reference” books(s) can be made use of from the University Library. All the stationary materials are available in the General Store near the hostel.

HOW TO REACH HOSTEL

Hostels for the first year engineering boys & girls are situated in the Ashram premises. To reach the hostel, please come via “Karunagappally” – nearly 20 km away from “Kayamkulam” railway station. You shall take an immediate right turn after Karunagappally K S R T C bus stand and drive straight to reach hostel. Sign board on the left side of the main road directing “Amritapuri” will guide you to take the exact right turn. <-- In the left you can see a bridge accross the backwaters. If you are coming to campus, you have to cross the backwaters to reach the hostel.

Room Allocation for the residential students: will be published in this web site by July 1, 2008. If you have opted for hostel accommodation, you are welcome to join the hostel on 5th or 6th July 2008 itself. You may go directly to the hostel for taking accommodation. Kindly bring two latest passport size photographs for hostel application purpose. The materials like bed, pillow etc for the residential students are available at the General Store near the Hostel.

Uniform: When you pay the balance amount, you are required to collect the uniform cloth from the admissions office. For the Mechanical Workshop, you may buy the cloth from the store in the Ashram.
